Best for large screen Android devices in order to have sufficient resolution for reading the maps and directions.

OS Vector Maps (of Great Britain) now available on newer devices (API level 10) and tablets. Offers much better resolution (than other maps) plus height shading and contour overlays.

This "free" version has embedded advertising.
